Spring · warm, light & clear
The Spring color palette is the warmest and freshest of the four seasons: coral, golden yellow, warm turquoise and leaf green, grounded by ivory, camel and a warm navy.
If your coloring is golden and lively — skin with a peach or golden glow, hair with warm highlights, eyes that look clear rather than smoky — Spring colors tend to make you look rested instead of washed out.

Who is a Spring
Spring color analysis looks for three signals together. The undertone is warm: skin can be very fair or medium, but it reads peachy, golden or ivory rather than pink or ashy. The overall impression is light to medium, and the coloring looks clear — eyes are bright and the face does not look muted or grayed.
Hair is often golden blonde, strawberry, light auburn or warm light-to-medium brown, sometimes with freckles. Eyes are frequently warm blue, aqua, green or light golden brown with visible sparkle.
The giveaway in a mirror test is how a Spring reacts to two extremes. Heavy black, charcoal and icy pastels drain the face, while dusty, smoky shades make it look tired. A clear coral or warm aqua, by contrast, brings color back into the cheeks.
Signature
The 12-season system splits Spring by its strongest trait. Here is the same coral top as each sub-season would wear it — lighter, warmer or brighter.
Lighter, softerWarmer, brighter
Light Spring wears the palest version, closest to peach. True Spring (Warm Spring) wears the most golden coral. Bright Spring (Clear Spring) wears the most saturated, almost neon coral that would overwhelm the other two.
Outfits
Build on warm, light neutrals and keep the strongest color near your face. Spring outfits look best when colors are clean and cheerful rather than heavy.

Leaf green knit, oat chinos and caramel sandals.
Warm navy suit with a peach blouse — navy reads softer than black on a Spring.
A turquoise wrap dress with soft gold jewelry and camel heels.
Wear with care
None of these are forbidden — they simply need a Spring color between them and your face.
Wear with care: Stark black
Try instead: Warm Navy
Black can look heavy and cast shadows under the eyes. Warm navy or cocoa gives the same depth more gently.
Wear with care: Icy blue
Try instead: Aqua
Icy pastels are cool and can make warm skin look sallow. A warm aqua keeps the freshness.
Wear with care: Dusty mauve
Try instead: Warm Pink
Grayed, smoky colors dull Spring’s clarity. Choose the clear, warm version of the hue.
Wear with care: Cool burgundy
Try instead: Poppy
Deep cool reds overpower light, warm features. Poppy or tomato red stay vivid without the weight.
Makeup & jewelry

12 seasons
Short answers to the questions people ask most about this topic.
Warm, clear and light-to-medium colors: coral, peach, golden yellow, warm turquoise, aqua, leaf and apple green, warm pink, and neutrals such as ivory, camel, caramel and warm navy.
Springs usually have warm, golden or peachy undertones, light to medium overall coloring and clear, bright eyes. Gold jewelry and coral tend to brighten the face, while black, gray and dusty shades look heavy.
Black is the hardest neutral for most Springs. Wear it away from the face, such as trousers or shoes, or swap it for warm navy, cocoa or charcoal-brown. Bright Springs handle black better than Light Springs.
Both are light seasons, but Spring is warm and clear while Summer is cool and soft. Spring looks best in coral and ivory; Summer in rose and soft white.
Golden and honey blonde, strawberry blonde, light copper and warm golden brown. Ashy or blue-black dyes usually fight Spring coloring.
