AI Attractiveness Test
Wondering how attractive you look in photos? Upload one clear photo and our AI attractiveness test rates it from 1 to 10 across six areas — from facial harmony to lighting — with specific, kind tips for an even better picture.
It is a read of one photo, not a verdict on you. The same face can score very differently with better light, a relaxed smile or colors that suit you.

The scale
What the attractiveness score measures
The overall score is the average of six dimensions. Most casual phone selfies land between 5.5 and 6.5 — a great photo of the same person often scores a full point higher.
| Dimension | What it looks at | How to improve it |
|---|---|---|
| Facial harmony | How balanced features and proportions look in this photo. | Shoot at eye level; wide-angle close-ups distort proportions. |
| Symmetry | Left/right balance, including pose and head tilt. | Face the camera straight on; keep the head level. |
| Skin clarity | Visible evenness and clarity as photographed — never skin color. | Soft daylight hides texture far better than overhead light. |
| Grooming & style | Hair, brows and how styling frames the face. | Tidy flyaways and wear a color that suits you near your face. |
| Expression | Warmth, eye contact and confidence. | A relaxed, natural smile usually adds the most. |
| Photo quality | Lighting, focus, angle and framing. | Face a window, wipe the lens, leave space above the head. |
Quick wins
Three changes that raise a photo score
None of these change your face — they change how the camera sees it.

Soft window light
Face a window instead of standing under a ceiling lamp. It evens skin and removes shadows under the eyes.

A relaxed expression
A natural, easy smile with eye contact lifts the expression score more than any filter.

Two minutes of grooming
Smooth flyaways, tidy brows and wear a color that suits you near your face.
Photo tips
How to get your most accurate (and best) score

Use daylight
Stand facing a window. Overhead lights create shadows under the eyes that lower skin and photo scores.
Hold the camera at eye level
Phones held low or very close exaggerate the nose and chin. A small tripod or a stack of books helps.
Skip filters and beauty mode
Filtered photos are often rejected or scored lower because features look unnatural.
Wear your colors
Colors near the face change how healthy and even skin looks. Find yours with the free color analysis.
Angles
Why camera angle changes your face rating
Phone cameras use wide-angle lenses. Held close and low, they enlarge whatever is nearest — usually the nose and chin — and make faces look less balanced than they are.
Hold the phone at arm’s length at eye level, or use the rear camera with a timer. The harmony and symmetry scores usually rise immediately.

Perspective
Am I attractive? How to read a face rating
Attractiveness research consistently finds that people agree only partly on who is attractive — and that familiarity, expression, confidence and kindness change ratings a lot. A single number from a single photo captures a small slice of that.
Use the score the way you would use feedback on a profile picture: as a guide to lighting, angle, grooming and color choices you control. If you notice a test making you feel worse rather than more confident, step away from it.
Searching "am I ugly" or "am I pretty"? Our test will never call anyone ugly. It points to what already works in your photo and what would make the next one better.

Science
Face symmetry, the golden ratio and beauty tests
Facial symmetry and averageness are linked to attractiveness in studies, but the effect is modest, and real faces are never perfectly symmetrical. Camera angle and lens distortion change measured symmetry more than most people expect.
The "golden ratio" face beauty ratio is popular online but poorly supported by evidence; many faces rated highly do not follow it. That is why our test looks at overall harmony as photographed rather than measuring one ratio.

Frequently asked questions
Short answers to the questions people ask most about this topic.
How does the AI attractiveness test work?
An AI vision model looks at one photo and rates six visible dimensions from 1 to 10: facial harmony, symmetry, skin clarity, grooming, expression and photo quality. The overall score is their average.
Is the attractiveness test accurate?
It is consistent for a given photo but sensitive to lighting, angle, expression and filters. Treat it as feedback on a photo, not an objective measure of beauty.
What is a good attractiveness score?
Most everyday selfies score between 5.5 and 6.5. Above 7 usually means a flattering, well-lit photo with balanced features and a relaxed expression.
Am I ugly?
No test can answer that, and ours will not label anyone ugly. Photos are strongly affected by lighting, lens and angle — the tips with your result show what to change for a better picture.
Is my photo saved?
No. The photo is analyzed once by our AI provider and is not stored on this site.
Can I use someone else’s photo?
Only with their permission, and only for adults. The test refuses photos of people who may be under 18.
